Jacobs University - Bremen, Germany

We were entertained by the Schullschiff Deutschland Choir whose members are former Merchant Navy Sailors from Vegesak, Bremen, Germany.  They sang wonderful sea shanties for us.

See http://www.schulschiff-deutschland-chor.de/ for further information about the choir and its activities.

The Schullschiff Deutschland, training ship, is the last of the full rigged sailing ships under the German Flag.  It is still owned by The German Training Ship Association but no longer trains sailors.  Instead functions such as private parties, weddings and training courses are held on board with accommodation in 30 cabins.  See http://www.efre-bremen.de/detail.php?gsid=bremen59.c.5167.en  for further information.
