Barrack 27

Barrack 27 today, tries to educate and help people understand the past history of this place.

Catering for groups of 60 – 80 people, Barrack 27 volunteers hold workshops, lectures and readings.  There are also volunteer work opportunities for pupils, national or international youth groups and artists both in the barrack and former prison camp sites.  There is a secure area attached to the barrack suitable for group tents.

The barrack is a starting point for preparation before the guided tour of the former prison camps.  It is also the ending point where question and answer sessions are held for all tour participants, on completion of the tour.  The volunteer members also offer guided tours through Bunker Valentin.
